B-Nest hosted the Future of MP: Start-Up Conclave on the 29th of September 2018. The event was a significant milestone in the journey of Madhya Pradesh towards creating a robust local startup ecosystem and emerging as the next big startup destination in India. The Chief Minister announced a number of new policy initiatives to support the startups and addressed specific concerns of budding entrepreneurs from all across the state via video conferencing.
As a measure of government support, the CM announced a Rs 100 crore start-up fund to promote entrepreneurship in the state. Catering to a major demand of entrepreneurs, the CM relaxed the requirements for public procurement by doing away with tendering process for procurement up to Rs 30 Lacs. Besides, interest subsidy for women entrepreneurs has also been increased to six percent for seven years. The CM also elaborated on his vision of the MP Incubation and Startup Policy and the impact of Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojna.
The CM was pleased with the functioning of B-Nest and declared the establishment of similar centers at other smart cities as well, with the ultimate aim to foster a culture of innovation & entrepreneurship and to develop Madhya Pradesh into the next startup hub of India.
